I founded my company, DonnLee Enterprises LLC, with my husband, Leon, a retired teacher. Leon accompanies me to various conferences and events where he frequently finds himself talking with customers about the benefits of My Medical Assistant®.

We are parents and grandparents who, along with our poodle, Smokey, live in the historic mountain town of Muncy, PA. We also are “snowbirds” who spend the winter months in Florida . I enjoy traveling, camping, genealogy, cross stitching, flea marketing and, especially, spending time with my grandchildren.

Like many people, I have medical conditions that require careful monitoring. I was at a hospital in Florence, SC, when I realized I needed to find a way to record accurate medical facts rather than guessing the answers. I needed this information in a portable format since I enjoy traveling. I searched in many different stores for a book or journal for this purpose but was unable to find one.

“Necessity is the Mother of Invention.” I have required medical attention for conditions that necessitate careful monitoring since the age of 16. I have required medical treatment at unfamiliar hospitals when traveling and once had to fill in the same medical questionnaire (in the same medical facility) three times in less than 36 hours. I was overwhelmed with medical information but did not know how to keep it straight. That day, I realized I had to find a way to organize and present my medical facts. After searching the market for a useful product, and being unable to find a solution, I began designing a book that eventually became My Medical Assistant®, a book that becomes a life history providing information “from the cradle to the grave.”

Since then, I have developed an expertise on what is current in the area of medical records. My experiences as a parent, a patient, a caregiver, and hospital secretary contributed to my proficiency. I have had positive relationships with medical professionals, including doctors, chiropractors, dentists, nurses, and emergency medical technicians, all of whom made suggestions for the organizer.

My customers are always eager to share their experiences with me, providing me with exposure as to how the book is utilized. I pride myself on listening to other patients and customers and have implemented many of their ideas.

Thousands of copies of My Medical Assistant® have been sold to individuals, book stores, pharmacies, insurance companies, hospital gift shops, and on Amazon.com, in addition to sales on my Web site (www.MyMedicalAssistant.com).

I have presented My Medical Assistant® at medical conventions, fundraising conferences, and speaking engagements. Along with My Medical Assistant®, I have developed a mini version to introduce people to record keeping and as a marketing tool for fund raising. I also am developing a series of disease-specific record books, such as the My Medical Assistant® Seizure Record Book, which is currently being market tested.
