SEMINAR FOCUSES ON HEALTH INFORMATION
(Jacksonville, NC) – Onslow CHIP (Community Health
Improvement Process) will host an informational seminar
with featured speaker Mrs. Donna McCaslin, creator of
My
Medical Assistant®, a personal medical organizer.
The seminar is free to the public and will be held on
Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Onslow County
Behavioral Healthcare Services Community Center on 127
Center Street, Jacksonville, NC. While the seminar is
free, seating is limited and reservations may be made
by calling Ms. Melissa St. Clair, 910-219-8000.
You are responsible for 80% of your doctor’s
diagnosis. Personally I didn’t remember all my
medical details. When I realized the impact this had
on my medical treatment, I knew I had to get my information
written down. “Necessity is the mother of invention!”
so that is why I created My
Medical Assistant®.
Having accurate medical information immediately available
could save your life. She will discuss why knowing your
medical information and family history is important,
what you should know, make suggestions on how to record
the information, and provide you with tips on how to
make the most of the limited time doctors spends with
their patients during appointments.
Her seminar applies to everyone regardless of their
age or medical condition. Young families with children
-- especially military families -- travelers, senior
citizens, people who live alone, and those with multiple
medical problems will all benefit from this seminar.
Door prizes will be given. Everyone attending will receive
a free, handy wallet card for their personal medical
data.
The mission of Onslow CHIP is to make Onslow County
the healthiest county in North Carolina by 2010!
